Molly Hensler

MSW, LCSW

Hello, and welcome to My Place for Peace!

First, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to even consider starting therapy. Reaching out for support is a powerful first step, and I hope you're proud of yourself for being here.

I'm a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from West Virginia University. My path into this field has been shaped by years of working alongside individuals involved in the criminal justice system. That experience gave me deep insight into how trauma, adversity, and systemic barriers can shape someone's mental health, relationships, and sense of self-worth.

It also taught me that healing looks different for everyone—and that having someone to walk alongside you in that process can make all the difference.

I have experience supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and a lack of healthy coping skills or support systems. My approach to therapy is collaborative and strengths-based—I believe in meeting you where you are, honoring your lived experience, and helping you build the tools and resilience you need to move toward the life you want.

My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe, heard, and truly seen.

Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me outside—hiking, kayaking, backpacking, or playing with my energetic puppy. I’m also a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and love finding new ways to move and challenge myself physically. I love to cook with a focus on health and nutrition, always looking for meals that nourish both body and mind. My family, friends, and puppy are my greatest joy, and I am happiest when I'm relaxing with them outside in the sunshine or around a fire!

I’m so glad you’re here, and I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
